Zepp Health has filed two new round smartwatches with the FCC in the US, which could be for Amazfit GTR 5 series wearables. The documents show that both watches support Bluetooth connectivity, and one model also supports Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi smartwatch has a 440 mAh battery and a 45 mm (~1.77-in) wide watch face.

Two new FCC filings in the US from Zepp Health have appeared with model numbers A2292 and A2294. A2292 appears to have the code name Cheetah, while the A2294 is named Swift. The first application is for a smartwatch with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, while the second product is just listed as a “smart watch”. However, the application reveals that this wearable will also support Bluetooth.

The A2292, or Cheetah, has a circular body measuring 45 x 45 x 12 mm (~1.77 x 1.77 x 0.47-in). The smartwatch has a 440 mAh lithium-ion battery and a metal case supporting 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The A2294 also has a circular watch face, though the measurements are unclear. The wearable has the same 3.87 V lithium-ion battery and a metal case.

It needs to be clarified precisely which model these new Zepp Health smartwatches are. However, based on the size, shape and design, these wearables could be in the GTR 5 series, following the GTR 4 which launched in September 2022. This watch has GPS, health tracking features, over 150 sports modes and smart workout recognition. Plus, a 475 mAh battery provides up to 14 days of battery life. The confidentiality agreements on both FCC filings for the new Zepp Health smartwatches will end in September, though this does not necessarily link to a release date. Whether these watches are indeed the Amazfit GTR 5 remains to be seen.
