Motorola recently launched two clamshell folding smartphones in its Razr series globally. The Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra were recently unveiled in China has the company’s latest foldable smartphones.

Now, the Lenovo-owned brand has confirmed that the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is launching in India. While no official Moto Razr 40 Ultra launch date in India has been confirmed, the brand has already set up a dedicated page for the device on its official Indian website.

The official page for the Razr 40 Ultra says that the device is “coming soon in India.” As of now, only a silhouette of the device has been showcased, although you can tell it’s indeed the Razr 40 Ultra from the size of the external display.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features the largest cover display on a clamshell folding or flip smartphone to date. While the page has teased the launch of the Razr 40 Ultra, there is no word on the vanilla Motorola Razr 40, which suggests it won’t be launching in India.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Specifications

The Motorola Razr Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The handset runs on Android 13 out of the box with the MyUX skin. The Razr 40 Ultra packs a 3,800 mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging.

For optics, the Razr 40 Ultra gets a dual-camera setup with a 12 MP primary camera sensor with OIS and a secondary 13 MP ultrawide unit that doubles as a macro lens. On the front, there’s a 32 MP selfie camera. Motorola’s clamshell foldable phone features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Displays

The Razr 40 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ POLED LTPO display with 1,400 nits of peak brightness. The panel boasts a 165Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+. The Moto Razr 40 Ultra has a large outer POLED display with a 3.6-inch screen size.

The outer screen features a 144Hz refresh rate, while the phone uses an aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass 7 back panel. Additionally, the outer display can be used as a viewfinder for taking selfies with the main camera, to get navigation details on Google Maps, reply to emails, watch YouTube videos, and more.
