LG – 4,000 lucky fans in 15 countries to test a G4 before launch

Written by Punit

The South Korean handset maker announced plans to choose 4,000 people in 15 countries to “test drive” the LG G4 for a few weeks before its official launch. LG said the aim is to let consumers experience the Android handset for themselves unencumbered by basic speed tests and benchmarks. The program will target consumers in the following 15 countries: Korea, Turkey, Indonesia, Singapore, United States, China, India, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong.

Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said –

Customers are our best fans and we think this would be an exciting and unique way to get our most important mobile product of the year close to the public.

The next-generation smartphone is expected to launch on 28th April 2015, according to invitations sent to the media late last month. The G4 is the successor to LG’s current flagship phone, the G3, which helped LG score record smartphone sales for last year’s third quarter.

LG’s already announced that the G4 will sport an f/1.8 camera. The rear buttons remain in the same place, as do the laser autofocus and flash. LG also has tipped its hand for a new 5.5-inch QHD display as well as a new user experience.
