ASUS has upgraded the ROG Flow Z13, its 13.4-inch gaming 2-in-1. Now available with up to an Intel Core i9-13900H, the ROG Flow Z13 (2023) also contains an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU and a 2.5K display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, which are all powered by a 56 Wh battery.

ASUS has refreshed the ROG Flow Z13, which now goes by the name ROG Flow Z13 (2023). According to the company, the ROG Flow Z13 (2023) will be available with the Core i9-13900H, a 45 W part from Intel’s Raptor Lake series. For reference, the Core i9-13900H contains 14 cores, 20 threads and can boost its 6 P cores to 5.4 GHz when needed. By contrast, the processor’s 8 E cores can reach 4.1 GHz.

While the Core i9-13900H has an iGPU, the ROG Flow Z13 (2023) will rely on the RTX 4060 in GPU-heavy tasks, such as gaming and video editing. Based on the AD107 GPU, the RTX 4060 has 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM and 3,072 unified pipelines. At launch, the RTX 4060 will come with 35 W – 115 W TGPs. However, the RTX 4060 in the ROG Flow Z13 will peak at 65 W with Dynamic Boost. Additionally, the new ROG Flow Z13 will ship with up to 16 GB of DDR5-5200 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage.

Moreover, ASUS has included a 56 Wh battery, an ROG XG Mobile interface for connecting an external GPU and Thunderbolt 4, among other ports. Unlike the Surface Pro 9, the ROG Flow Z13 (2023) also features a 3.5 mm jack and a USB 3.0 Type-A port. All configurations contain the same 13.4-inch ROG Nebula display too, which operates at 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600) with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 7 ms response times. Unfortunately, ASUS has not confirmed when the new ROG Flow Z13 will be available, nor for how much or in which markets. Instead, the company has only outlined that the ROG Flow Z13 (2023) will be available at some point later this year.
