YU Yutopia smartphone launched at Rs 24,999 with 4 GB RAM

Micromax’s brand YU has launched its latest flagship smartphone Yutopia. Called the most powerful phone ever by the company. YU has ditched plastic and gone for an all-metal unibody design with an aircraft grade aluminium. The result: a sleek, stylish looking smartphone. Yu has also announced its Assured Upgrade Programme, which guarantees purchasers a 40% cashback discount if they exchange their new Yutopia for a Yutopia 2 in the future.

Yutopia sports a 5.2-inch resolution IPS display and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. The smartphone comes with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage with an option to expand it up to 128 GB via micro SD card and runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1. The 4G compatible Yutopia features a 21 MP Sony IMX 230 rear camera, OIS that is encased in the flagship rear ring coupled with an 8 MP front snapper with 77.3 degree wide angle. The camera further offers 4K recording and Slow Motion capture.

The Yu Yutopia will be sold exclusively through Amazon India with a price tag set at a quite reasonable Rs. 24,999 ($376).
