Xiaomi launched Mi5 in India at Rs. 24,999/-

Xiaomi has launched the Mi 5 flagship smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 24,999. Mi 5 is Xiaomi’s most expensive smartphone to launch in India ever. The company has so far only brought a single variant of the smartphone in India, what was unveiled as the ‘standard edition’ in China, featuring 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. The smartphone will be available in its first flash sale on Mi.com from April 6. It will be available via Xiaomi’s e-commerce a few weeks later.

As far specifications are concerned, the new Xiaomi Mi5 series will come in three variants housing different storage and CPU configuration. The high-end variant dubbed as the Mi 5 Pro comes with Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage.

The other two models ship with 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820+3GB+32GB and 1.8GHz Snapdragon+3GB RAM and 64GB storage combination.

Other specifications remain the same in all the three models. They come with 5.15-inch full HD display with finger-print sensor at the bottom, which also doubles up as the home button, latest Android Marshmallow OS based MIUI v7.0, 16MP Sony IMX298 camera, 4MP snapper on the front, USB Type C and a 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Its also available in 3 colors – Black, White and golden.
