Xiaomi admitted that a few cases were reported where the device fell off its quality standards. Although the company didn’t categorically state the reasons for extending the warranty, it could be referring to multiple complaints about the motherboard or camera systems that went dead inside several Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones.

Xiaomi has assured that the extension of the warranty is automatic. Those facing any issues with the smartphones mentioned above have to take their device to any authorized Xiaomi service center across India. The experts at the service center will inspect the smartphone and fix it at no additional cost, claimed Xiaomi.
