While its easy to jazz up a phone with RGB lighting and call that a gaming phone, tablets haven’t quite fared the same treatment, but Lenovo is taking things up a notch by introducing the Legion Y700 Ultimate Edition, which sports an electrochromic rear glass panel that color shifts when it is electronically activated, making this a super cool gaming tablet to own if you ever want to flex one in front of your friends.

How the feature works here is that when the glass panel is activated electronically, it will transition from a plain metallic surface to a cube shaped pattern when the tablet is in use, while it should also create a nice reflection from nearby lights that should appeal to gamers who want a flashy device like this.

Otherwise, the Legion Y700 Ultimate Edition has the similar internals as the regular version, which is powered by a Snapdragon 870 processor supported by 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, it has an 8.8-inch display that pushes 2560×1600 resolution and refreshes at 120Hz with a 240Hz touch polling rate, dual JBL linear speakers, a 6550mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port for data transfer and charging.

The Legion Y700 Ultimate Edition will be available in color options of Ice White and Glare Blue and retails at RMB3,699 (RM2,439), which you can only purchase it in China if you ever want to get your hands on one, but if you don’t care about its flashy design, the Snapdragon 870 powered Xiaomi Pad 5 is readily available for purchase here at a much cheaper price.
