Meanwhile, Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 contains a GPU with twice the performance of the Adreno 644 powering the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The company also boasts that the chipset will deliver sustained GPU performance with little throttling, although the amount of throttling will differ from device to device. Supposedly, the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 will offer all this with 13% better power efficiency than its predecessor.

Meanwhile, Qualcomm has integrated an image signal processor (ISP) that supports up to 200 MP camera sensors, 4K HDR video, and an improved night mode that can interpolate 30 images taken almost simultaneously. Furthermore, the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 offers a Snapdragon X62 5G modem that delivers 4.4 Gbit/s peak download speeds and a FastConnection 6900 modem for WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E. The Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 will arrive later this month, starting with devices from Realme and Redmi. Please see Qualcomm’s website for more details.
