Yes, it did just happened around a hour ago. Your most favorite website was down.

The social network website Facebook hit an outage for almost less than an hour, globally.  Users accessing the Facebook website saw error message, with “Something went wrong” written on the page.

And at the same time, personal photo sharing website –  Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, was also down. Desktop users couldn’t find the webpage while mobile app wasn’t syncing latest data from server.

It was also reported that the Dating app, Tinder was also down, may be as it uses data & profiles from Facebook to connect it’s users.

All these websites are up again and working normal. And Facebook also said that,

This was not the result of a third-party attack but instead occurred after we introduced a change that affected our configuration systems.

Lizard Squad, which claimed responsibility of hacking Malaysia Airlines website yesterday, also tweeted the same on twitter along with two other websites AIM & Hipchat . But the tweet spread a rumor, saying these websites were hacked by Lizard Squad, which wasn’t the real case.

All thanks to Varun Nathani, for the update.
