The Nothing Phone (2) has officially been unveiled in India and globally. Easily one of the most hyped smartphones of 2023, the Phone (2) has been capturing headline in the tech space for the past few months.

The Nothing Phone (2) brings several improvements across the board over its predecessor, although the fundamentals appear to be unchanged. So here’s everything you need to know about the Nothing Phone (2).

The Nothing Phone (2) price in India is set at Rs 44,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model. Moreover, the Phone (2) is also offered in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB configurations that will set you back Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999, respectively. The Phone (2) is offered in Dark Grey and White colour options.

The Nothing Phone (2) sale in India will take place on July 21 via Flipkart and other retail outlets. Customers who purchased the pre-order pass can buy the Nothing Phone (2) today and avail an instant discount of Rs 3,000 using Axis Bank and HDFC Bank cards.

Additionally, pre-order pass holders will also receive discounts on the purchase of Nothing accessories for the Phone (2). The Nothing Phone (2) will also be available for purchase via the company’s ‘Nothing Drops’ pop-up stores across various cities, including Bengaluru, India on July 14 at 07:00 pm IST.

Nothing Phone (2) Specifications

The Nothing Phone (2) is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with the Adreno 730 GPU. The handset comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Phone (2) runs Android 13-based Nothing OS 2.0. Additionally, the device will receive three major OS updates and security updates for four years.

The Nothing Phone (2) sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ (1,080 x 2,412 pixels) LTPO OLED display. The panel boasts an adaptive refresh rate between 1Hz – 120Hz and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is SGS Low Blue Light certified and supports HDR10+. The Phone (2) also has a dual stereo speaker setup.

The device packs a 4,700 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support and 15W wireless charging support. It also offers 5W reverse wireless charging, although no power adapter is included in the box. The Nothing Phone (2) also features an in-display fingerprint reader and an IP54 rating for splash resistance.

Nothing Phone (2) Cameras

For optics, the Nothing Phone (2) gets a familiar dual-camera setup with a 50 MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with an f/1.88 aperture as well as OIS and EIS support. The main camera is paired with a 50 MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 114-degree field of view.

Nothing Phone (2) Glyph Interface

The Nothing Phone (2) retains the Glyph Interface from the original Phone (1), albeit with an update. The interface on the Phone (2) now comprises of 11 segmented LED strips with 33 total LED lighting zones.

Essential Glyph Notifications can assign specific apps to LEDs that will stay lit until you clear a notification. Users can also assign light and sound sequences for each contact and notification type. The Phone (2) gets support for 10 new ringtones and notification sounds.

Users can also check delivery and pick up progress on apps like Zomato and Uber through the interface. Additionally, Nothing is opening the Glyph Interface to interface SDK and API to developers for even more use cases in the future.
