According to a reliable leaker, the iPhone 15 Pro Max should launch with significantly thinner bezels than the current iPhone 14 Pro Max. Reputedly, Apple has made such an improvement between generations that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will offer the thinnest display bezels of any smartphone, more so than the Xiaomi 13.

A few weeks ago, a short video showing front glass panels of the iPhone 15 series surfaced on Bilibili, a Chinese video-sharing website. While the clip showed that this year’s Pro models have thinner bezels than the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, it did not provide any measurements. According to @UniverseIce, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have thinner bezels than the iPhone 15 Pro, much like the iPhone 13 mini had smaller bezels than its iPhone 13 siblings.

Additionally, the leaker adds that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will even set the record for the narrowest bezels of any mass-produced smartphone. Writing on Twitter, @UniverseIce claims that the side bezels on the iPhone 15 Pro Max will measure 1.55 mm, 28.6% narrower than its predecessor. For context, the Xiaomi 13 is the current record holder at 1.61 mm, with the Samsung Galaxy S23 coming close at 1.95 mm. Leaked CAD renders underline the change from the iPhone 14 Pro Max to the iPhone 15 Pro Max too, as does the image above.

It is also worth noting that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will adopt slightly curved edges, which could give the impression of even thinner bezels than measurements would suggest. The iPhone 15 Pro Max will also offer uniform bezels, unlike its Android-based peers like the Xiaomi 13. Currently, Apple is expected to unleash the iPhone 15 series in September, although it may reserve most major changes for Pro models, such as an Apple A17 Bionic and solid-state buttons, among other changes.
