Dada, a delivery company backed by e-commerce giant JD, saw its net revenues grow 31.9% to RMB 2.68 billion ($380 million) in the fourth quarter of 2022. Its net loss during the quarter was RMB 370.6 million, a reduction of 35.9% compared to the same period last year. Revenues generated from JD-Daojia, an on-demand delivery unit, and Dada Now, a crowdsourced delivery platform, increased by 36.9% and 22.9% respectively. JD-Daojia contributed two-thirds of the Nasdaq-listed company’s total revenue in 2022, an increase of 8% compared to 2021 and an uptick attributed to more active consumers and an increase in the average order size. Meanwhile, Dada Now recorded a 40% year-on-year increase in delivery workers, with 1 million active riders in 2022. [Dada]
