Apple’s next crop of flagship iPhones are now tipped to launch with increased battery capacities across the board, and are backed to regain some ground on their Android rivals as a result. According to this new tip, the top-end 15 Pro Max is not the one with the biggest upgrade of its series in this respect – then again, it might make up for that with the biggest iPhone camera hump of all time.
The iPhone 15 series is projected to debut touted by Apple as the most advanced of their line so far as usual – then again, a switch to USB type-C charging might help the 4 putative devices in question live up to that potential hype. On that note, the batteries thought to benefit from this upgrade have now allegedly leaked in further detail.
AnTuTu Benchmark’s news page now purports to set out fairly specific milliamp-hour (mAh) values for each iPhone 15 variant – a level of detail that suggests that the higher-end models will in fact have smaller batteries compared to their non-Pro counterparts.
To this end, the vanilla iPhone 15 is now said to have a capacity of 3,877mAh compared to 3,650mAh in the 15 Pro, while the 15 Plus‘ 4,912mAh battery is tipped to dwarf that of the Pro Max at 4,852mAh, even though both devices will probably have the same screen size.
Therefore, Apple might market the ‘vanilla’ 15 and 15 Plus as having improved battery life over the more performance-oriented Pro and Pro Max. Then again, the latter might still have the edge in terms of camera hump size at least, according to a new photo of a case allegedly designed for the top-end SKU.
The 14 Pro Max‘ own camera hump can be said to be the most prominent in the industry on various levels – however, according to this new image (also now available on AnTuTu News), it will be emphatically outdone by its own successor.
The square, multi-lens glass island takes up practically half the width of the rear panel this time, and hints at increased height as well, given the thickness of the border around its window in the case as shown. Then again, time will tell if the real 15 Pro Max will really require accessorizing like this in the near future.
