Dongfeng Honda, a joint venture between Honda and Chinese manufacturer Dongfeng Motor, recently made its first shipment of vehicles to Europe, as 300 CR-V hybrid crossovers left China, according to a statement published on May 20. The shipment, which included an undisclosed number of e:NS1 SUVs, the first model under Honda’s Chinese-market e:N electric vehicle lineup, reflects the carmaker’s efforts to expand overseas as competition intensifies in the domestic space. The vehicles are expected to first arrive in Belgium and then be transported to dozens of countries including the UK and Greece. Honda sold 315,245 cars in China from January to April, a 30% decline from a year ago. [Dongfeng Honda announcement, in Chinese]
