Within a week of imposing ban on 857 porn websites across the nation, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Telecom Minister of India, Department of Telecommunication (DOT) said that the ban on all restricted websites will be lifted, except for the one’s which serve content related to Child Porn.
At an interview today, Prasad said:
A new notification will be issued shortly. The ban will be partially withdrawn. Sites that do not promote child porn will be unbanned.
As per the letter issued by DOT, 857 websites are blocked due to a petition filed in 2013 to restrain child pornography content over these websites.
Anyhow, the good news is that, now you have a big list 857 websites, and for that you thanks our government.
