Google releases new Handwriting Input keyboard

Written by Punit

Google has released a new handwriting keyboard for Android smartphones and tablets called Google Handwriting Input, this new keyboard provides support for 82 different languages, and allows users to input text through both cursive and print writing. The actual process of inputing text can done either with a stylus or with one’s finger.

The app is sized at 11.83MB, works with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and later OS versions, and is already available for download from Google Play.

The main features of the keyboard are:

  1. A useful complement to touchscreen typing or voice input.
  2. Useful for languages that can be challenging to type on a standard keyboard.
  3. Works across any Android phones and tablets running Android 4.0.3 and up.

You can switch to it just as you would any other keyboard and see it looks identical in styling to the current Google Keyboard.
