Garmin has announced that software Alpha version 11.15 is now available to download for various smartwatches such as the Fenix 7 and Epix (Gen 2). The update brings new features like Jet Lag Adviser, which can help you reduce the impact of travel on your body. Plus, the software brings support for Connect IQ System 6.
Garmin software Alpha version 11.15 is now available for the Epix (Gen 2), Fenix 7, Fenix 7X, Enduro 2, Fenix 7S and MARQ smartwatches. One new feature is Jet Lag Adviser, which can provide tips on dealing with any impact on your body from recent travel. The update also includes initial support for HRV TrueUp, though support for the overnight HRV graph is not yet available; TrueUp ensures biometric data is synced between your devices.
Several tools for sailing have been added, like the Distance to Start data in the Sail Race activity and the Sail Expedition app. Plus, a PacePro strategy page is now available in the race widget, and a Race Day card has been added to Morning Report. With Alpha version 11.15, you can now view stamina data for bike sports and a workout execution score in your post-activity summary. New activities which you can track with the smartwatches are Wake sports like wake surfing and wakeboarding. Through the latest software, these models support the Connect IQ System 6 and allow you to leave your gender unspecified.
Alongside these new features, Garmin has provided various bug fixes and improvements with the alpha, such as removing problems which cause the smartwatch to shut down. It’s worth noting that the alpha will not be automatically pushed to eligible smartwatches – instead, customers must manually download and install the software.
