Voyah, the premium electric vehicle division of Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor Group, is seeking an undisclosed amount of financing from outside investors, according to its filing on the Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange on Tuesday. A partner of Japanese automakers Honda and Nissan, Dongfeng will still have at least a 77% share of Voyah, while offering external backers new shares equivalent to and no more than 15% of the company, the filing said. The automaker currently has two Voyah-branded models for sale: the Free crossovers and the Dreamer multi-purpose vehicles. [Dongfeng statement, in Chinese]
