DJI has unveiled the Osmo Mobile 6, otherwise OM6, the next generation mobile gimbal is now even more compact with a palm-sized form when folded and weighs merely 340g, which you can easily store it in your pockets and take it out whenever you want to grab a quick stabilized video.

The OM6 features a new ergonomically designed handle and larger clamp to accommodate phones with cases, there is a built-in extension rod should you require high angle or wider selfie shots, a 3-axis gimbal stabilizes your video and it now comes with a new ActiveTrack 5.0 feature that tracks objects even better.

Exclusive to iPhone, the OM6’s magnetic clamp will launch the DJI Mimo app automatically once it attaches to the handle, which allows you to quickly start shooting instead of fumbling through your app pages.

There is a new status panel on top of the controls as well to indicate the shooting mode you are on – Follow, Tilt Lock, FPV and SpinShot, there’s even a side wheel that serves as a focus and zoom control that has been brought over from the DJI Ronin gimbals, which allows you to achieve a cinematic shot that won’t have been possible before.

DJI has also developed a dedicated editing app called LightCut, which you can easily switch from the DJI Mimo app when you want to quickly edit your videos on your phone, there’s also a new Mimo ShotGuides feature that automatically recognizes the scenario and recommends shot sequences you can try to shoot along with a tutorial.

The DJI OM6 can be purchased at the DJI official store on Lazada and Shopee for RM759, customers will get a magnetic clamp, tripod, power cable and storage pouch inside the box.

Meanwhile, DJI has also announced a more budget friendly Osmo Mobile SE at RM459, which is based on the OM4 but features smarter shooting features, it is available on Lazada and Shopee as well.
