Acer has broken new ground with the launch of the Acer Connect Vero W6m, the company’s first eco-friendly Wi-Fi 6E router.
The cutting-edge router is unique in its use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials for its chassis and incorporates an energy-saving Eco mode for efficient power consumption.
High-Speed Wi-Fi 6E Connectivity and Enhanced Coverage
The Acer Connect Vero W6m stands as Acer’s pioneer eco-friendly router, offering Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and compliance with security standards stipulated by the European Commission’s Radio Equipment Directive.
It supports Wi-Fi 6E Triband (2.4 GHz/5 GHz/6 GHz[1,2]) AXE7800 throughput, offering blistering speeds of up to 7.8 Gbps for fast and stable online connections.
Users can pair the router with up to four units, providing vast network ranges of up to 465 m2 in a dual mesh system and up to 930 square meters in a quad mesh system, effectively eliminating dead spots in large coverage areas.
The router is powered by a MediaTek quad-core 2 GHz A53 processor with 1 GB LPDDR RAM and 4 GB memory capacity, ensuring the router can meet high-bandwidth requirements.
The Connect Vero W6m places strong emphasis on data protection and security, being the first router to meet EU EN 303 645 (RED) Cyber Security Standards.
Eco-Conscious Design and Features
In line with Acer’s commitment to reduce CO2 emissions, the Connect Vero W6m router has been designed with eco-consciousness at its core.
This environmental ethos is apparent in everything from the device’s chassis to its energy-efficient features. The packaging is also 100% recyclable.
The router’s minimalist and compact aesthetic is made of 30% PCR plastic and finished in a cobblestone grey that complements any office or home setup.
The router also incorporates a dedicated Eco mode, which optimizes power consumption of the router and connected devices by managing sleep times during periods of inactivity and efficiently regulating data frequency distribution.
