On June 5th, BYD announced the detailed sales figures for its various models of Ocean series in May. The specific models and their sales are as follows:
Total sales of Ocean series: 102,572 vehicles
Champion version of Destroyer 05: 10,457 vehicles sold
Escort ship 07: 10,005 vehicles sold
Seagull: 14,300 vehicles sold
Dolphin: 30,679 vehicles sold
Champion version of Sea Lion: 8,079 vehicles sold
2023 e2 model: 4,723 vehicles sold.
In May, BYD’s total sales of new energy vehicles reached 240,220 units, a year-on-year increase of 97.63%, with production reaching 246,259 units, a year-on-year increase of 99.34%. Passenger car sales reached 239,092 units, a year-on-year increase of 109.4%.

Pure electric vehicle production and sales reached 126,091 and 119,603 units respectively, a year-on-year increase of 94.77% and 92.39%. Plug-in hybrid vehicle production and sales data were both at around119040 and119489 units respectively with a YoY growth rate of 103.89% and 102.80%.
The sales volume of BYD Dynasty series models was 125,515 units, a year-on-year increase of 71.6%, the mid-to-high-end new energy brand Denza, under its sold 11,005 units in May. In terms of passenger car exports, BYD exported a total of 10,203 vehicles in May.
