The standalone Bose Soundbar 700 may lack Dolby Atmos support and a dedicated subwoofer, but on sale for under US$500, the DTS-compatible audio system might be worth consideration for fans of a neutral sound profile and premium build quality.
The American audio specialist Bose is mainly known for its well-made headphones, such as the popular QuietComfort series. However, the Massachusetts-based company also offers numerous noteworthy products in the home theater segment, and one particular Bose soundbar has now gone on sale for one of its lowest prices in recent memory.
To be more precise, the Bose Smart Soundbar 700 is now on sale for US$479 at the brand’s official online store. This attractive deal is valid for the regular black as well as the fancy “Arctic White” color variant of this 38-inch long audio system and it offers a noteworthy discount of 33 percent or US$235 in relation to the official MSRP of more than US$700. Please be aware that this sale for the Bose Smart Soundbar 700 will expire on April 26.
From a technical perspective, this speaker system relies on a fairly basic 3.0-channel setup, which has been praised for its neutral sound profile in Rtings’ detailed review. Apparently, the Bose soundbar also sports a very good built quality and can be easily upgraded, but unfortunately, this quite intriguing sale price does not include the dedicated subwoofer (from US$499 on Amazon) that noticeably enhances the low-end bass performance of this audio system. But thanks to the significant discount, this soundbar deal is still a decent standalone option in the US$500 price range.
