Government of India blocks porn websites in India.

Written by Deepak

It was in the air, the Government of India, is trying to ban porn sites in India, and today there’s a bad news for Internet users. Government of India has taken an unexpected step and has blocked various porn websites like Pornmd, pornhub, brazzers, redtube and many more, I won’t be sharing the complete list, so that you can use it later.

When you’ll try to open this page, you may see a error page, saying “This site has been blocked as per the instructions of Competent Authority” or even see a empty page without any message, depending upon your Internet Service Provider. All these websites are blocked on all mobile network providers as well, so if you are thinking of access through mobile web, it won’t work that way also.

We can say, that “Swacch Bharat” is really taking a shape, they also started cleaning the internet.

Well from statistics, there are around 40 million websites in the world, so its not so easy to find and block every single of them. Sooner, the websites will manage to get accessible somehow. But for now, Clean India, Safe India.

And this ban came just a month later, when Chief Justice Of India, HL Dattu said that there cannot be a restriction on watching pornographic content within the confines of four walls. –

Such interim orders cannot be passed by this court. Somebody can come to the court and say ‘Look, I am an adult and how can you stop me from watching it within the four walls of my room? It is a violation of Article 21 (right to personal liberty) of the Constitution.’ Yes the issue is serious and some steps need to be taken… the Centre has to take a stand… let us see what stand the Centre will take – he added.

But, still if you want to learn something and acess these blocked websites, you can use any of the freely available VPN’s and access this restricted websites. For example, TunnelBear or Betternet are two applications, which allow you to access any blocked or restricted website. Tunnel Bear and Betternet both are available on Chrome App store as well Android PlayStore.

Here are few responses, which started just after this #PornBan got viral on the Twitter.
